Northfield Response: Permit text was edited out and Exhibit AC was added. <br />DRMS: Response accepted. <br />22. Page 2.05.3-26 discusses Coal Mine Waste and Non-Coal Processing Waste. It is stated <br />that all of the development waste, including that from the portal and ventilation shaft <br />development, will be used for the construction of the mine facilities bench. The Division <br />believes that this is an acceptable discussion. The Division does have a question <br />regarding the possible waste from the crushing and screening plant. Although there is <br />not a processing plant at the site, a crushing and screening plant tivill create some form of <br />refuse. The refuse will be in the form of either rocks or off-spec coal. There will need to <br />be same plan in place for dealing with this waste product. Please discuss how the <br />Northfield Mine plans on dealing with the waste that will be created by the crushing and <br />screening plant. <br />Northfield Response: Permit text was revised and map additions were made. <br />DRMS: Response accepted. <br />23. There are no storage areas listed in the list of facilities in Section 2.05.3. It is the <br />opinion of the Division that the Northfreld Mine will have at least one storage area and <br />probably at least one bone yard at the facilities area. The Division requests that the <br />operator discuss the need (or lack thereof for these storage areas. If these storage areas <br />are needed, please add them to the list of facilities in Section 2.05.3 and add them to the <br />appropriate map. In the discussion of these storage areas (if required) please include a <br />description of the materials to be stored and the methods of reclamation. <br />Northfield Response: Permit text was modified. <br />DRMS: Response accepted. <br />Section 2.05.4 -Reclamation Plan <br />24. There is a typographical error on the second line of the first paragraph of Page 2.05.4-I. <br />The second sentence, that begins ... "operation is an significant... " is in error.
