Impacts to this zone can translate to water impacts at the surface. The proposed D-seam overburden wells should provide valuable upgradient information. Please propose an additional D-seam overburden well locations at the downgradient area of the mine. Downgradient D-seam overburden baseline and operational data will be required. x) Please propose a downgradient D-seam monitoring well for baseline and operational monitoring. xi) Some of the proposed wells appear to be within mining zones. How will monitoring proceed as required if and when these initial installations are mined through? xri) Wells DH-38 and DH-13 are shown as monitoring points on Map 09. Please add reference to these wells on page 2.05-7 and provide completion diagrams. xiii) Please provide the baseline data for DH-34C. xiv) Please provide the baseline data for DH-13. xv) The DMG recommended monitoring of ephemeral streams during our meeting of April 1995. Page 2.04-34 indicates that no monitoring was conducted on Stevens Draw since 1984; however, Exhibit 3 indicates some 1995 monitoring at Stockpond P-1. Current baseline monitoring on both Stockpond P-1 (see #13-ii above) and on Stevens Draw are needed. Provide appropriate upstream and downstream baseline information for Stevens Draw, and provide an operational monitoring scheme for Stevens Draw. xvi) Freeman Gulch should have been monitored during the spring of 1995. Please obtain upstream and downstream baseline monitoring data, and provide an operational monitoring scheme. xvii) Provide more specific upstream and downstream baseline monitoring data for Gulches A, B, C, and D. The text indicates possible spring nrnoff and this should have been monitored. Also add an operational monitoring scheme to the permit application. xviii) Please provide upstream and downstream baseline data and an operational monitoring scheme for the North Fork of the Gunnison River. Please provide revised Exhibit 3 Tables, permit application text pages, map revisions, and figure revisions as appropriate.
