Three <br />3. The applicant should define "representative" overburden, "com- <br />posite samples", and how these samples were obtained and analyzed. <br />4. The applicant needs to provide the lithology logy for all drill <br />holes. <br />5. The applicant must provide a textural analysis for the carbon- <br />aceous shale, gray shale, and sandstone in the coal zone, and <br />siltstone beneath the lower coal seam. <br />6. The geologic cross-sections provided do not delineate nature, <br />depth, and thickness of the coal seams to be mined, each over- <br />burden stratum, and the stratum immediately below the lowest coal <br />seam to be mined. T~~is information should be incorporated into <br />the geologic cross-sections. <br />7. The applicant should provide information on the swell factor of <br />the overburden material. swell factor values and a description <br />of the methodology utilized to determine these values should be <br />provided. <br />2.04.7 Hydrology Information <br />The applicant has not provided sufficient hydrology has eline information. <br />The applicant should address the following topics, and provide the requested <br />information. <br />1. The applicant should provide all surface and ground water moni- <br />toring data collected. <br />2. The applicant should provide a pieziometric contour map of all <br />aquifers down to the first aquifer below the lowest coal seam to <br />be mined, unless the applicant can provide sufficient information <br />(from pump tests and monitoring) that there are none. <br />3. The applicant should provide a narrative which describes the known <br />uses of the water in the aquifers and water table and lists the <br />current users of all surface crater and the amount utilized by each <br />user. The applicant should address storage rights of ponds below <br />the permit area in Mdnn Draw. <br />4. The applicant should provide information which addresses recharge, <br />storage, and discharge characteristics of aquifers of the permit <br />and adjacent area in order to determine impact of the operation <br />on the hydrologic balance. <br />5. The applicant needs to provide elevations for all water monitoring <br />stations. <br />6. The applicant needs to address how the operations may result in <br />contamination, diminution, or interruption of surface or ground <br />water. If the operation may cause contamination, diminution or <br />interruption of the supply of water to a user with a ZegaZ right <br />to that water, the applicant needs to identify alternative water <br />supplies which could be utilized to replace the existing sources. <br />
