DMG: Alright for engineers to qualify certification (should include brief
description of methods used to derive maps).
HGTI: Mapping of water related information requested is complicated by the
presence of the City of Hayden within one mile of the permit boundary.
DMG: Alright to put emphasis on information outside city limits (with the
possible exception of major water supply intakes to the city).
19. Threatened and Endancered Soecies
DMG: USFWS appears to be satisfied with our responses concerning non-fish
species. HGTI should include writeup on all species of concern in permit.
20. Protected Stream Statue
HGTI: HGTI will designate Dry Creek as a biological community and mark it.
DMG: Alright to wait until we can get
together where signs would be necessary.
been entered, as approved by the Division,
defining the buffer zone.
together in the field to ascertain
Locations where the buffer zone has
should be noted in the permit when
21. USFWS Concerns
HGTI: HGTI will do water balance and make commitment to pay one-time fee to
USFWS fund. [This should address USFWS concerns for listed fish.]
22. Pond Caoacitv
HGTI: Will do as suggested.
23. Diversion Ditches
DMG: HGTI should give us designs for all structures conveying water to other
designed structures. Do to weather conditions at the site, this can not be done
immediately. HGTI should commit to submitting designs by the end of summer, 1993
or we can stipulate the permit ae such. Designs for the 14 additional culverts,
suspected to be present at the northern end of the permit area, should be
submitted when their statue becomes known.
26. Haul Road
DMG: HGTI has the option of removing the interior ditch on the loop '•road^ or
designating the loop a haul road. DMG believes that the alternate specifications
portion of the road regulations will protect HGTI from having to redesign or
reconfigure road and this would be eo stated in the findings document.
25. Access Road
DMG: The road between Haul Road # 2 and the truck hopper can be designated an
access road. See remarks above.
27. Sewaoe Treatment
HGTI: A leach field exists at the site. HGTI will improve wording.
26. Location of Alluvial Wells
Both parties recognize that the two wells in place do not adequately gage
alluvial quality upstream and downstream of the loadout. Both parties agree that
the wells should be sampling the alluvium only, and not the underlying shale.
This issue will be resolved ae a revision to the permit after it ie in place.
