Criterion (lumber 5: Scenic Fe'_~ral Lands Analysis: The BLh1-administered •lands ~rithin the lease area have been designated by visual resource management analysis as Class II, Only those Federal lands designated as Class I, and not currently on the National Register of Natural Landmarks, shall be considered as unsuitable. Therefore, this criterion is not applicable, since no Class I areas have been identified. Criterion Number 6: Lands Used for Scientific Studies Analysis: Examination of the hiTP indicates no permits have been issued for scientific studies on these Federal lands. Criterion Number 7: Historic Lands and Sites Analysis: About 150 acres of BLM-administered land in these lease areas have undergone 100 percent Class III inventory (Applegarth and Hurlbutt, 1977). One site, 5GN36, was located. SGIJ36 is the remains of a ca. 1915-1926 homestead. It is not considered eligible to the tational Register of Historic Places. A file search was made at the Office of the State Archaeologist and in the National Register of Historic Places (Federal Register, April 1, 1980, Volume 45, Number 64), No additional sites eligible to or included in the National Register were identified. Due to the lack of identified sites eligible to or nominated for the National Register within the leased area and given the provisions / as established in Criterion 7, 43 CFR 3461.1(9)(1) and given the stipulations that will be applied under the Programmatic Memorandum of Agreement regarding the Federal Coal Management Program, this area is considered suitable. Criterion Number 8: Analysis: None within the lease National Natural Criterion Number 9 Natural Areas of the Federal lands administered by the BLM area have been designated as Natural Areas or Landmarks. Federally-Designated Endangered Species Analysis: No endangered plant species have been documented in the mountain brush zone in the tJorth Fork Valley. The lease tract does not provide essential habitat for any Federally listed threatened or endangered species. Criterion Number 10: State-Listed Endangered Species Analysis: No critical or essential habitat for plant or animal species listed by the State as threatened or endangered have been identified.
