a"`~ <br />w <br />r <br />L <br />u <br />Reclamation of the proposed road caill consist of pulling <br />fill material from the backslopes or east side of the road down <br />upon the road top so as to approximately recreate the original <br />topography. Topsoil replacement and revegetation of the new sec- <br />tion of road will be identical as those procedures approved by the <br />Board in the original application. The bridge ~oill remain to allow <br />hunters, grazing rights owners and surface owners access to the fee <br />property on the east side of Hubbard Creek. <br />II. Portal 9nea <br />In order to insure adequate above-ground working area <br />for the mining operation, Sunflower proposes to expand the existing <br />permitted area 250'.x 350' to 400' x 400' <br />This addition will allow for initial exterior facility <br />design to eventually include sorting, screening and/or crushing <br />operations at the mine site if such would be necessary to meet <br />market demands. Failure to allow enough room in the original <br />layout would possibly necessitate costly and inefficient alterations <br />at a later date. The total portal development disturbed area will <br />be 160,000 square feet. (See Exhibit A). <br />Physiography in the additionally requested area is consist- <br />ent with that present i.n the existing permit. <br />Reclamation of the incremental area will be identical to <br />those procedures approved by the Board in the original application. <br />2 <br />
