The mining of the tract xould be expected to begin in 1981
xith a boxcut opened up by the Marion 204 28 yard bucket
capacity shovel, The cut xould begin at the eastern
boundary between the subject application and existing lease
C-081330, and proceed south-xesterly, Folloxing the boxcut,
subsequent strip pits would be accomplished xith a
Marion 8050 55-yard bucket capacity dragline. As the plan
is currently presented, portions of existing lease C-08133
and the subject application xould be mined concurrently to
reduce excessive nonproductive equipment movement and repo-
sitioning. It is anticipated that mining xill commence in
1981 and terminate in 1985. Figure 2 shows the preliminary
mine sequence anticipated by Energy Fuels for coal lease
application C-26913.
Because coal lease application C-26913 would be a similar
expansion of Energy Pit 41 as lease application C-22644
(xith the exception of substituting the Marion 8050 dragline
for the Marion 7400 and 770 dragline) it is anticipated that
the mining and reclamation procedures would be similar for
both parcels, No new facilities xould be required. The
reader is therefore referenced to the discussions of these
topics presented for application C-22644.
C. C-22676
This 723.81 acre area, split into two parcels is adjacent to
22
