MISCELLANEOUS COMPLIANCE <br />Signs and Markers <br />The applicant is not required to post stream buffer zone <br />markers because there are no perennial streams in the permit <br />area, as specified by section 4.05.18 of the Colorado Permanent <br />Regulatory. Blasting signs and perimeter markers have been ade- <br />quately designed. The applicant has not however, provided a <br />description of topsoil stockpile markers, which are needed to <br />insure that topsoil material is not improperly handled. There- <br />fore, the following stipulation is proposed: <br />The applicant shall install topsoil stockpile markers at <br />every location where this material is stored. This action <br />shall be taken within 30 days after the permit is issued. <br />Mine Facilities <br />Although the applicant has described and located existing <br />structures, no description of sewage treatment at the mine site <br />has been provided. In order to evaluate the effect of sewage <br />disposal on the hydrologic resource in the future, sewage treat- <br />ment facilities should be described and a discharge point for <br />effluent identified if applicable. Therefore, the following <br />stipulation is proposed: <br />The applicant shall submit a description of sewage treatment <br />facilities at the mine site and identify any effluent dis- <br />charge points within 30 days after the permit is issued. <br />No additional structures are currently anticipated at the mine <br />site during the permit term. It is possible, however, that the <br />crushing plant and shop facilities will be moved to an area on <br />the northeast side of Pit 2. If that occurs, the applicant has <br />-65- <br />
