The pit 111 haul road is to .be left as an access road as stated by <br />the applicant; however, the width of the road was to be reduced and material <br />i <br />from the road utilized to backfill the final cut in pit 111. The applicant <br />must provide design specifications for the modification of the haul road <br />i <br />~ which illustrate compliance with design and performance criteria. <br />3. The applicant should provide specifications for each road (county road <br />and in-pit roads excepted) within the permit area to be constructed, used <br />or maintained. Specifications should include road widths, gradients, <br />surface, cuts and/or fills, fill embankments, and any culverts, bridges, <br />drainage ditches, and drainage structures, Designs and construction must <br />meeC applicable criteria of 4.03. <br />4. In the discussion of overburden removal and handling, the applicant <br />needs to provide pit dimensions anticipated for each cut during the operation. <br />5. The applicant should provide a discussion of the types and anticipated <br />amounts of explosives to be utilized. <br />I <br />6. The applicant must provide additional information about overburden area <br />119. As described, this is an excess overburden disposal site, and the <br />applicant should provide designs and cross-sections of the spoil disposal <br />structure according to 4.09. <br />7. The applicant should provide a discussion relative to the handling, removal, <br />storage, transportation, and disposal of coal and non-coal wastes at the <br />site. The applicant should discuss sources of waste, waste storage areas, <br />and any waste disposal facilities. Waste storage areas and disposal <br />facilities should be located on a map. <br />8.
