p. 4
2. The applicant should discuss which species were evaluated for presence
of critical habitat.
3. The applicant should provide a species list for the permit and adjacent
area which delineates important wildlife presence. This information
can be obtained from the Colorado Division of Wildlife 'Latalong' studies.
2.05.2 Operation Plan - Life of Operation
j 1. In Table V-1 Overburden and Mining Schedule for the boxcut in pit
~f4 the overburden is to be moved to location 20, but no location 20 is
identified on Map V-2. Please clarify.
1
J
1 2. The typical augering pattern as illustrated in Drawing V-9 shows a
rib thickness of 12", yet in the text, a rib thickness of 6" is indicated.
The discrepancy needs to be clarified.
3. Table V-2 Typical Equipment List does not list the applicant's water
truck. Is this an omission?
I 4. The applicant has presented information relative to operations for
the five-year permit tern. Is this the anticipated life of operations
i for the mine? If not, the applicant must provide information (per 2.05.2)
which describes and illustrates the life of mine plan in map(s) and
narrative.
5. The applicanC needs to clarify the working relationship timing sequence
between augering and backfilling of the excavated pit. It appears from
the text that potential for conflict between operations involving over-
burden removal and excavated pit backfilling and coal augering may occur.
Please clarify.
2.05.3 3 Operation Plan - Piine Facilities
1. The structures and facilities outlined in the text are not presented
on Map V-1. The correct reference should be Map V-2. The location of the
explosives storage facility should be incorporated on Map V-2.
