It is noted that the applicant has not submitted esti-
mates for removal of structures at the mine site or estimates for recla-
mation of the Trinidad loadout facility. These should be submitted to
the Division.
4.02 Signs and Markers
i
In addition to the "Blasting Area" sign, the applicanC needs to post a sign
r ~ "Warning, Explosives in Use" which clearly explains the blast warning and
all-clear signals in use. This sign needs to be placed at all entrances
to the permit area from public roads.
4.07 Sealing of Drilled Holes and Underground Openings
The applicant needs to provide a discussion of the methods utilized to
seal exploration holes at the mine.
4.09 Disposal of Excess Spoil
The staff disagrees with the applicant's contention that overburden area
ll9 does not fit into the valley or head-of-hollow fill category. To this
end, the applicant needs to provide information relative to the requirements
of 4.09.2 Valley Fill or 4.09.3 Head of Hollow Fill.
4.14 Backfilling and Grading
When rills and gullies deeper than 9 inches occur in areas which have been
regraded and topsoiled, the rills and gullies shall be Filled, graded or
otherwise stabilized, and the area reseeded or replanted (4.14.6(1)). The
above defines when the applicant is required to take action regarding rills
and gullies.
