(3) Mine Facilities
1. A narrative and maps must be supplied describing all mine
facilities which have specific performance standards, the plan
for maintenance and the plan for removal must also be supplied
for these structures. Maintenance of the recycling ponds and
the water treatment facilities are of concern because of probable
hydrologic consequences.A'sgthe plan for the removal of the
office building is of concern because of post mining land use
and estimate of reclamation costs. 2.05.3(3)
2. In the permit the applicant must differentiate between those
structures which are in existence and which facilities are
just proposed. For example, is the coal dryer in existence?
How large is the coal refuse pile at this time? 2.05.3(3)(b)

3. Dust suppression on the roads will be controlled by use of
calcium chloride. To ascertain the extent of probable hydro-
logic consequences the applicant should supply the concentration
of the solution, the source of water for dilution and the fre-
quency that the solution must be applied.
4. The applicant should describe the effects of the leach field
on the stability of the road directly above it. (4.03)
5. The applicant must state that all structures designated by
Geo Testing will be designed and maintained as presented.
2.05.3(3)(b)(ii)
6. Provisions for monitoring the stability of the refuse pile
must be supplied. 2.05.3(3)(b)(ii)(c) and 2.05.6(6)
7. A description of each road and conveyor to be construced, used
or maintained must be supplied. The description should include
a map. A generalized plan for roads is not adequate. 2.05.3(3)(c)
(4) Ponds, Impoundments and Diversions
The following information is needed for the Division to review
the sediment control system.
1. A map or maps at a scale of 1" = 100' clearly delineating
the location of the sediment ponds, diversion and collection
ditches used or proposed to be used for sediment control. They
must be located on a topographic map which clearly delineates
the watershed boundries for each pond and/or ditch. The extent .
of the embankment, the location of spillways, the 10 year, 24
hour storage area, and the location of ditch discharge points
must be indicated on these maps. This information is required
under Section 4.05.6 to assess pond locations, watershed area
calculations and short-circuiting.
A. Pond Z Calculations: Pond volume caZculaCion is in-
correct. Pond volume =(1.64 in/12/in/ft)(11.35 ac) = 1.55 ac-f t.
(5)
