<br /> <br /> <br />C~ <br />PRELIMINARY ADEQUACY REVIEW <br />Grassy Creek Mine <br />it 28, 1981 <br />2.03.9 Personal injury and Property Damage Insurance Information <br />The new certificate of insurance for the Grassy Creek Mine was received <br />by the Division. The applicant is advised that the limits for property <br />damage liability are too low. Also, it is not clear whether bodily <br />injury as a result of blasting is covered. Please clarify. <br />2.03.12 Newspaper Advertisement and Proof of Publication <br />The Division has not yet received proof of publication of the proposed <br />public notice. <br />2.09.3 General Requirements: Site Description and Land Use Information <br />The applicant must supply a narrative discussing the capability of the <br />land to support other uses (2.09.3(2)(b)(i). Other uses to be addressed <br />can be found in section 1.09 Definitions under Land Use. <br />2.09.6 Geology Description <br />1. Are there any known landslides, faults or fracture systems in the <br />permit area? If there are, these should be located on the Geology Map. <br />2. Please provide any Zithologic Logs (or field notes) of the drill holes <br />which were completed and indicated their location on the Geology map. <br />These logs should provide information about the nature, thickness and <br />depth of the coal seams and the overburden and interburden. Submission <br />of this information should enable the applicant to comply with the re- <br />quirements of 2.09.6(a)(i) and 2.09.6(b)(i)(B). <br />3. No physical or chemical analyses of the overburden, interburden <br />or ~1 were provided by the applicant. This information is required <br />in sections 2.04.6(1)(b)(i)(C), (D) and (E) of the regulations. PZease <br />see the Appendix to this letter for a list of required parameters for <br />the testing of overburden (including interburden and coal) quality. <br />2.04.7(1) Ground Water Information <br />1. The applicant should indicate whether groundwater was encountered <br />in any other wells drilled in the permit area. If so, where was it <br />encountered and what geologic formation and lithologic unit(s) was it <br />
