How will water be provided to <br />the bathhouse, by well or tank? <br />s ons <br />The water for the bath house will come from the 10,000 gallon tank located on the safety <br />bench at the mine site. <br />78. Please provide the designs for the construction of all buildings planned to be constructed <br />with concrete floors. Please include the designs for the concrete structure to encompass the <br />1,000 gallon diesel tank, for any concrete footer planned for the 10,000 gallon water tank, <br />and for any concrete footers for the tanks planned at the loadout (Sections 2.05.3(3)(a) and <br />4.04 of the Regulations). <br />Response <br />A new Figure 2.05.3-4b provides the fuel and water tank foundation design. <br />79. Will a leach field or some other type of sewage treatment system need to be constructed to <br />treat dischazges from the bath house? If so, please provide designs and drawings for this. <br />Be awaze that this facility may need county or State health department approval. <br />• es se <br />In the event that LCC needs to treat bathhouse water, a package sewage treatment plant will <br />be installed. Representative designs are shown in Exhibit 20. Page 2.05-13 has been revised <br />to indicate this information. <br />80. How will non-coal waste (waste oils and grease, waste paints, waste batteries, etc) be <br />disposed of (Sections 2.05.3(8) and 4.11.4)? <br />Response <br />All waste oils and grease, waste paints and waste batteries will be recycled when feasible. <br />Waste oils and grease and waste batteries will be stored in the fuel storage azea. The waste <br />oils and grease will be periodically picked up by an oil recovery service and recycled or re- <br />blended in accordance with all applicable state and federal guidelines. Waste paints and <br />household type materials will typically be used in a timely manner with little waste material <br />remaining on-site. However, waste paints that may not completely be used will be recycled <br />if possible through an approved facility. Those materials that cannot be recycled will be <br />periodically logged and inventoried for off-sit disposal at an approved applicable facility. <br />This information has been added to pag~`2.05-48,. <br />~ ~ <br />• 8 l .
