transport coal and build roads from other properties through or over these
premises and do all things necessary or convenient, usual and proper in con-
nection with said operations as Zony as this lease is in effect, but said
r-Zyht to transport coal mined from premises other than those leased herein,
ucross Zeasad premises shall discontinue at any trime this lease is terminated.
II.
Lessee agrees that all mining operations shall be conducted in a care-
ful and workmanlike manner mid in accordance arith the State and Federal reg-
ulations mad that Lessor, or its designated agents, may inspect said operations
at any time provided that such inspections do not interfere with said operations.
III.
This lease shall be effective when both parties hereto have signed same
and shall continue in full force and effect for a period of three (31 years
from and after the date hereof, a>ith an option for an additional three (3)
year lease at the expiration of this lease with the understandings or agreements
between such parties arith respect thereto.
IV.
Lessee covenants mad agrees to p~zy to the Lessor as tonnage royalty
for each ton of L, 000 pounds for all mineable, merchantable coal mined and sold
from said premises as follows:
Three mad one-3ralf per cent (33%1 of the
Cross SuZes Prtice for all coal mined and
Bald from the leased premises.
Royalties shall be ascertained from r~eights at Railhead on certified
scales and aLZ payments shall be made on or be fare ten (10) days after receipt
of payment by tite Lessee from purchasers of the coal mined under this Lease.
V.
Lessee also agrees to puy Lessor 5500.00 per month beginning on May
1, 1982, cod continuiny said payment on the 1st of each month thereafter until
mining operations shall begin on the above described property for and in con-
sider•ation of the signing of this lease.
