6. it was agreed in the April 17, 1981 meeting that another,
more logical approach would be taken by SEI in light of the fact
that the first aquifer identified below the coal to be mined was
approximately 210 feet below the coal.
SEI made drafting changes, as agreed, to Figure 9.2-3, inserted
water levels on cross-Section D-D on Figure 2.5-5 and added
Figure 2.5-6 showing cross-section E-E which shows the area
down-dip within the graben in which the operation is as yet
confined.
All data for all drill holes including drill holes outside of
the mine plan (life of mine) area has now been included in
Appendix G.
7. Sections 4.2.3 and 4.2.4 have been expanded. Page 4-14a
points out that, the groundwater reporting schedule and parameters
to be analyzed are found in Tables 4.2-13 and 4.2-14 respectively.
8. In lieu of the identification of the potentiometric surface
of the aquifer setting 210 feet below the coal, SEI identified
the portion of the mine plan area that is anticipated to be
saturated. The mining operation will not extend into this satu-
rated zone during this permit term as shown in Figures 2.5-5 and
2.5-6. Prior to mining into this zone (year 6 or 7), the poten-
tiometric surface could be identified. The data presented shows
no aquifer in the permit area.
