2.04.6(2) (a) (V)
Slouging of road cuts and face ups will be controlled by
commonly accepted, state of the art construction techniques,
erosion controls and maintenance
This is discussed appropriately
in the text.
2.04.7
1. Sections 4.2.3 and 4.2.4 were rewritten and Figure 4.2-2
redrafted to clarify a distinction between the 'six (6) baseline
monitoring wells and the wells proposed for future monitoring.
All six (6) baseline monitoring wells have been accurately
located on Figure 4.2-2 along with the locations of the four (4)
monitoring wells that will be used for monitoring during opera-
tional activities.
2. Tables 4.2-1 through 4.2-5 have been appropriately modified
to show water levels realized during groundwater sampling.
3. Page 4-12 was changed to clarify that the "exposed" formation
exhibited no "yields" of groundwater in the form of springs or seeps.
The lack of aquifers is elaborated upon and statements made in the
text to the effect that the mining activities will not impact
aquifers.
4. Evaluation of all exploration boreholes formed the basis for
the statement on page 4-13. Additional field and "E" logs were
provided in Appendix G.
