The various surface structures at this site include the shaker conveyor with <br />attached hopper and storage bins, an A-frame storage shed, a ventilation fan <br />housing, a 500-gallon portable plastic water storage tank, and the drainage <br />control system (i. e.: sediment pond and diversion ditches). <br />No underground development waste will be disposed of on the surface; all of <br />this material will be disposed underground in the old workings. <br />The applicant is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />XVI. Explosives - Rules 2.05.3(6) and 4. <br />No surface blasting will occur since this is an underground mine. Blasting <br />will occur underground with explosives storage slated for old underground <br />workings. Therefore, the requirements of this section are not applicable. <br />The applicant is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />XYII. Backfillinq and Grading - Rules 2.D5.3(3), 2.05.3(4), 2.05.4(2)(a <br />C <br />and 4.14. <br />Blue Flame has provided information pertaining to backfilling and grading in <br />Section 2.05.4 of the permit application. <br />The applicant purposes to backfill the mine portals and the site with material <br />currently used to form the mine benches. The backfilling and grading plan is <br />intended to meet the approximate original contour of a 3h:ly slope. Also, <br />this plan is sufficient to reduce erosion thereby minimizing the impacts to <br />the surface hydrologic regime. <br />The applicant is in compliance with the requirements of this section. <br />XYIII. Coal Processing Waste and Non-Coal Processing Waste - Rules <br />. ~. [1 rl. and <br />Information pertaining to these topics can be found in Section 2.05.3 and <br />4.01-4.20 of the permit application. <br />The applicant does not propose any coal processing other than screening, <br />therefore, no coal processing waste should be produced. <br />The applicant states that no underground development waste will be deposited <br />on the surface, therefore, the requirements of this section are not <br />applicable. The Division specifically disallows deposition of any underground <br />development waste on the surface during this permit term. <br />_P7 _ <br />
