The various surface structures at this site include the shaker conveyor with
attached hopper and storage bins, an A-frame storage shed, a ventilation fan
housing, a 500-gallon portable plastic water storage tank, and the drainage
control system (i. e.: sediment pond and diversion ditches).
No underground development waste will be disposed of on the surface; all of
this material will be disposed underground in the old workings.
The applicant is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
XVI. Explosives - Rules 2.05.3(6) and 4.
No surface blasting will occur since this is an underground mine. Blasting
will occur underground with explosives storage slated for old underground
workings. Therefore, the requirements of this section are not applicable.
The applicant is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
XYII. Backfillinq and Grading - Rules 2.D5.3(3), 2.05.3(4), 2.05.4(2)(a
C
and 4.14.
Blue Flame has provided information pertaining to backfilling and grading in
Section 2.05.4 of the permit application.
The applicant purposes to backfill the mine portals and the site with material
currently used to form the mine benches. The backfilling and grading plan is
intended to meet the approximate original contour of a 3h:ly slope. Also,
this plan is sufficient to reduce erosion thereby minimizing the impacts to
the surface hydrologic regime.
The applicant is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
XYIII. Coal Processing Waste and Non-Coal Processing Waste - Rules
. ~. [1 rl. and
Information pertaining to these topics can be found in Section 2.05.3 and
4.01-4.20 of the permit application.
The applicant does not propose any coal processing other than screening,
therefore, no coal processing waste should be produced.
The applicant states that no underground development waste will be deposited
on the surface, therefore, the requirements of this section are not
applicable. The Division specifically disallows deposition of any underground
development waste on the surface during this permit term.
_P7 _
