This plan will be for <br />project. <br />Purpose: <br /> <br />R~ely~ <br />DEC 1 ~ 1999 <br />the implementation Geu/q~, <br />affected by the <br />the duration of the <br />The purpose of this plan is to provide procedures for the <br />control of any designated noxious weeds and prevent the <br />encroachment of these weeds to adjacent landowners. <br />Authority: <br />Colorado Noxious Weed Act (C.R,S. 35-5.5) <br />Management: <br />1. Gunnison County will inventory the gravel pit and develop <br />an integrated weed management program for the control of <br />designated noxious weeds. <br />2. After the infested areas have been treated they will be <br />reseeded to provide soil cover and competition for noxious <br />weeds. The seed mixture will contain species that compete <br />with noxious weeds and are compatible with the sight. <br />Treatment Schedule: <br />Inventory (1999) - Canada thistle, musk thistle, hoary cress <br />and common burdock were found. <br />Chemical Treatment (1994) - Treated hoary cress, musk thistle <br />and common burdock in the spring and Canada thistle in the <br />fall. <br />Chemical Treatment (1995) - Musk thistle was eradicated due to <br />the treatment in 1996. Treated the hoary cress, common burdock <br />and Canada thistle in the spring and treated the Canada <br />thistle again in the fall. <br />Chemical Treatment (1996) - Common burdock has been <br />eradicated. Treated hoary cress in the spring and Canada <br />thistle in the fall. <br />
