(hydro balance continued) <br />Pond 7 held a small amount of water and the outlet gate was found closed, Pond 6 was <br />about half full of water, mainly pumped from pond 8 in the recent past. The two <br />containments at the West Mine were dry or holding small puddles in the bottom, All ponds, <br />embankments, and spillways appeared in good condition. Sediment collection ditches along <br />the Purgatoire River were found in normal condition. <br />Process~na Waste <br />Regrading of the RDA surface is now complete. Isolated areas of standing water were <br />noted, although the depth of the water was only a few inches. Irregularities due to <br />equipment tracking seem to be the main reason for standing water The 100-year diversion <br />ddch was traversed and has been recently cleaned and regraded It appeared in excellent <br />condition. The rock downdrains adjacent to the reclaimed RDA outslopes also appeared in <br />excellent cond~t~on <br />Support Faalities <br />Hauling of coal from the west coal silo was initiated about three weeks ago. Large highway <br />legal haul trucks were observed leaving the site with a load of covered coal. The buyer may <br />also remove some of the coal that constitutes the clean coal pile footprint. Steel girders <br />removed from demolition of the hoist house have been removed from the site. They were <br />previously stored, after demolition, in a material yard south of the industrial building. <br />Photographs were taken of the inside of the prep plant and the breaker building for <br />reclamation cost estimate purposes. The inside of the prep plant consists of tanks. <br />walkways, stairways, pipes. and concrete decking. The inside of the breaker building is <br />almost entirely walkways, stairways, and girders. A large crusher bin was removed from this <br />building a few years ago. <br />
