III. COMMENTS -COMPLIANCE <br />Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made <br />during the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the <br />inspection and the facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br />southeast comer, The straw bales at the cove~ll topsoil stockpile are beginning to show <br />their age, although they are presently functional, The straw bales at the ptmtp house and <br />the east side of the gob pile topsoil pile were also functional. The straw bales treating the <br />runoff from the material storage area along the gob pile haul road were intact. <br />Sims and Markers <br />The mine ID signs were present at the appropriate locations and contained the correct <br />information. Blasting notice signs were also up. Surface disturbance mazkers were up <br />around the mine site. Topsoil signs were also present at each topsoil stockpile. <br />R s <br />The paved main haul road was in excellent condition. The operator has placed nine <br />concrete barriers in front of the damaged guard rail. The operator stated that the guard rail <br />should be repaired soon. The gob pile haul road was in good shape too. The operator <br />watered that road during the inspection. [t was getting a little dusty since gob material <br />was being trucked to the gob pile. <br />There was no problems with the access road that leads from the portal bench to the <br />utilities bench. No problems were observed with the light use roads. <br />The operator is bringing topsoil to the main topsoil stockpile. The topsoil is from the <br />repair of the slide behind the warehouse and from the new parking lot next to the portal <br />bench. The topsoil has been placed at the east and west ends of the stockpile. The straw <br />bales on the south side of the pile need replacing. <br />There were no erosional problems observed at any of the topsoil stockpiles. <br />oZ. <br />
