- 3 - <br />,~ The following are stipulated for surface water monitoring: <br />~` <br />a) Flow measurements must be taken at surface water monitoring <br />site SIi-2 and water quality samples must be taken from sites <br />SW-2 and SW-5 on :1cClane Canyon twice a year as follows: <br />i) Once during spring snowmelt <br />ii) Once during a storm event <br />b) Flow measurements must be taken quarterly at Site SW-1 and <br />water quality samples must be taken quarterly from sites SW-1 <br />and the new monitoring site on East Salt Creek (which must be <br />located on a map with a specific designation and must be ap- <br />proved by G`II.RD and OSM. <br />c) The water samples must be chemically analyzed for the parame- <br />ters specified below: <br />• Sodium Absorption <br />pH Ratio Lead (Pb) <br />Specific Conductance 'BicarbonatefHC03) Sodium(NA+) Manganese (Hn) <br />' Temperature (field) Calcium(Ca+ ) Sulfate(S04) Hercury(Hg) <br />__ _._-__._Dissolved en (field)__ <br />~Fz-- ___ <br />- Aluminum(A1) Molybdenum(1lo) <br />- - <br />- '- --- - Arsenic(As) SElenium(Se) <br />d Total Suspended Solids Hagaesium(PSg•}Z) Boron(B) Zinc(Zn) <br />('~_ i Total Dissolved Solids - __ Cadmium(Cd) _. <br />Total Combustible Solids Copper(Cu) <br />. Total Hardness - Iron(Fe) ~ ' <br />_ d) The results of all monitoring must be submitted to the OSti and <br />";'` ~ CNLRD immediately after data collection. <br />~ ~ ~. s .ra..,.,.~...~vaar- a <br />4. <br />mT~s r'~po"r~ s o' ncI'C-fie `a m ne workings map showing the loca- <br />tions and quantity of inflows; a table keyed to the mine map which shall <br />contain the source (i.e. fault, fractures, etc.), quantity, duration,and <br />quality (i.e. pH, electro-conductivity and temperature) of all non-seep <br />inflows; a table containing records of water discharged from the mine, <br />consumed in the mine and imported for use within the mine; a discussion <br />of the water balance within the mine; and, a projec[ion of hydrologic im- <br />pacts of mining in the upcoming year. <br />At these times the water ev n e wells <br />w e measured and samples will be taken for analysis of pH, tempera- <br />ture and specific conductance. The results of this monitoring will be <br />submitted to the OS"1 and C:ILRD immediately after data collection and an- <br />alysis. <br />f~ <br />~~ <br />
