The workings have already pro- <br />gressed to a point about 1400 fee[ from the portal entries. The opera- <br />tion will produce approximately 123,000 tons of coal per year with pos- <br />sible increases to 246,000 tons in the second year. The total anticipa- <br />ted production for the permit term is around 369,500 tons over a two or <br />three year period. .Mining during this term will aid the Salt Creek :lfin- <br />ing Company in determining the feasibility of further mining of coal be- <br />yond the permit term. <br />_ -The-loadout is 1QCated along-a railroad siding in Loma, Colorado, some 20 <br />miles due south.
