CIG currently owns, operates, and maintains
the 24B-16" CF&I - S. Pueblo Loop high pressure natural gas transmission pipeline which
crosses the subject area. The Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) is 400 psig for
this pipeline.
CIG's referenced pipeline traverses this area, however, if the following conditions are observed
with regard to the pipeline, CIG has no objection to the mining operation.
The mining operations will not encroach within fifty (501 feet of either side of CIG's
pipeline facility. A minimum slope of 4:1 will be maintained as a back slope to the
existing right of way easement from this time forward of the current operations.
2. The existing cover over the pipeline must not be lowered.
3. Haul roads or equipment crossings over CIG's right of way easement may require an
increase in the amount of cover over the pipeline. Should a road base be installed that
would encroach on this cover, then a stress analysis would need to be performed based
or actual equipment loading information. Engineering would prefer to have actual road
cross-sections, at the pipeline crossings, in order to perform the load analysis.
4. No blasting shall be allowed unless prior approvals are obtained from CIG.
5. CIG will not permit any permanent structures to be constructed within the pipeline
easement area without first obtaining written permission.
6. Contact the Utility Notification Center of Colorado at 1-800-922-1987 at least two
working days prior to the commencement of any mining activities on the property and
such construction shall be made only when a representative of CIG is present at the
time of construction.
Colorado Interstate Cos Company
ABUBSl0/ARYOF rNE COAB rAL LORPOM r10N
P 0 BOX 1081' • LOLGRAUO SPRINGS C0809Id • ll'Ya;3-2700
