Pond 8 -pond is full, evidence noted of flow over the embankment, minor damage to the <br />embankment on the outslope. Erosion of riprap down to the filter fabnc in the emergency <br />spillway. Riser is not visible and likely partially plugged by debris. <br />Internal ditches, especially along the permanent road on the north side have breached in <br />numerous places but Flows continued on to constructed sediment ponds via natural arroyos. <br />Riser drop inlet <br />~~ <br />Fish and Wildlife <br />A quiet but seemingly unhappy rattlesnake was observed next to the pond 9 spillway. <br />Torrential rains have likely disrupted these reptiles from their favorite hiding places. The <br />snake was left to be unhappy by itself. <br />Revegetation <br />Vegetation on the reclaimed areas is having a banner year due to abundant moisture. <br />Outslopes of Fill 9 and Fill 7 have excellent cover consisting of grasses and Forbs contained <br />in the approved seed mix. Sanfoin. a forb, was noted in considerable abundance. Warm <br />season grasses like side oats grama and blue grama have seeded out due to optimum <br />conditions. <br />
