The site }ass well organized, and free of all debris, weeds and contaminants. There are
no fuels or cils kept at the site.
6. No reclamation, other than temporary slope gradients, has been performed yet.
The area to become part of the 112 permit was inspected. The following items were noted
and/or discussed:
7. The Notice regarding the conversion application (for which the operator provided the
affidavit of posting) was observed at the entrance near the county road.
8. The conversion area will surround the present 110 permit. It will consist of a
continuation of the same hillside being mined, the low area to the west (though that will
not be mined), and the hilltop bench.
9. The same manner of mining will be employed, regarding slopes to be maintained, topsoil
segregation, and intermittent onsite processing. The disturbance will be limited in
acreage, with reclamation being performed as the mining progresses to the NE.
10. The hilltop and the lowest part of the land on the west consist of meadows; the slopes
are generally covered by woody vegetation (mainly aspen and oak brush).
11. There x~as a small stockpond outside the present NW corner of the 110 permit. Its
location may ]lave to be moved as mining approaches it. Though seepage from the pit does not
enter it ~ directly now, that may be a future source of water for the pit or means of
containing the discharge.
12. The present bench (floor of the pit) will become the processing area, as the floor
enlarges. The ramps up to it will not be constructed from topsoil.
13. There wi:Ll be a crusher set up here periodically, and possibly an asphalt plant (though
that may be unlikely due to the type of aggregate present).
There were nc problems noted during the conversion pre-operation inspection. The operator
should note the problems on the last page, and their corrective action dates.
