Longwall mining had reached Station 126+00 in <br />the 18 Right panel, and the continuous miner had reached Station 90+00 in the 19R Gateway. <br />Low quality coal was being processed in the wash plant, and coal mine waste was being hauled to the waste <br />disposal area. <br />Coal was being shipped by truck and by rail. <br />FISH AND WILDLIFE <br />A comprehensive review of raptor guards had been completed. <br />REVEGETATION <br />Long-term mining disturbed areas require eventual revegetation in the reclamation plan. Snow cover obscured <br />visual inspection. <br />SUBSIDENCE <br />The effects of subsidence were observed over areas from roads. Effects are as anticipated in the PAP. <br />EXCESS SPOIL & DEVELOPMENT WASTE <br />Materials excavated during driving of the 18-Right Ventilation Shaft had been placed in the impoundment <br />excavated for that purpose. Nearly dry, these materials will be covered for temporary, but-long term, storage. <br />Excavation of the 6 North Mains Ventilation Shaft had not started. These excavated materials are to be stored <br />in a pit (not yet constructed) at the site. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS <br />There has been no reclamation bond releases processed at the Foidel Mine site. <br />C-1982-056.
