Natural Soda LLC 2023 Project Status Report & Annual Plan of Development <br /> 12 January 2024 <br /> <br />3.2. Proposed 2024 Activities and Schedule (Confidential) <br />3.2.1. Processing (Confidential) <br />NS anticipates sodium bicarbonate production of approximately 250,000 tons in 2024. <br />Brief, routine shut-downs for periodic boil-outs and maintenance activities will occur as <br />necessary. <br />3.2.2. Well field (Confidential) <br />• NS plans on drilling two new production wells to establish the western portion <br />of the 18H mining interval during the spring/summer of 2024. These wells <br />have been permitted and approved by all agencies. The 18H-1V slant <br />production well will be drilled first. The 18H-IR-W production well will then be <br />drilled to intercept the 18H-1V within the desired Boise Bed target zone. <br />• NS may continue the permitting process, during 2024, for two new production <br />wells, the proposed 19H-1V slant production well to be drilled as the first well <br />of the 19H mining interval and the proposed 19H-IR-E production well to be <br />drilled east of 19H-1V. The 19H-IR-E will intersect the 19H-1V well, forming <br />the eastern portion of a new 19H mining interval. <br />3.2.3. EPA Notification – Schedule of Planned Mechanical Integrity <br />Test (MIT) (Confidential) <br />• Per EPA UIC Permit C030358-00000 requirements, the following routine <br />injection well (initial, 5-year, or 10-year) MIT Part 1 pressure testing and MIT <br />Part 2 temperature logging is planned for 2024 or the first quarter of 2025. <br />o 15H-IR-E (5-year): MIT P1 and P2 testing/logging is planned to occur <br />during the fourth quarter 2024 and/or the first quarter of 2025. <br />o 18H-IR-W MIT P1 (initial) will be conducted, as appropriate, during well <br />construction in 2024. <br />o 18H-IR-W MIT P2 baseline temp log will be run, as appropriate, during <br />well construction. MIT P2 initial logs are required 60-90 days post EPA <br />ATI. <br />3.2.4. EPA Notification – Schedule of Planned SSM Survey <br />(Confidential) <br />• NS conducted the biennial surface subsidence monument survey in 2023 and <br />the results are reported in section 4.4.2 of this report. The next biennial <br />surface subsidence monument survey will occur in 2025 in accordance with <br />UIC Permit C030358-00000 requirements. <br />
