❑ Flatbed trucks <br /> ❑ Air compressors <br /> ❑ Skid loaders <br /> ❑ Underground haulage equipment <br /> The following hazardous materials may be located on site. <br /> ❑ Hydraulic/Compressor oil <br /> ❑ Antifreeze <br /> ❑ Gasoline <br /> ❑ Motor oil <br /> ❑ Grease/Gear oil <br /> ❑ Diesel fuel <br /> Secondary containment will be provided for fuel,gasoline or toxic fluid stored on site.The secondary containment shall hold 110%of <br /> the capacity of the largest single tank and be impervious to any oil,produced water or other toxic fluids for seventy-two(72)hours. <br /> Earthen berms must be compacted of fine material that will prevent seepage of any spill to surrounding area. <br /> Double wall tanks,commercially available drum trays and spill containment pallets may be utilized for secondary containment. <br /> All tanks with a capacity of ten(10)barrels or greater shall be labeled or posted with the following information: <br /> a) Name of operator <br /> b) Operators' emergency contact telephone number <br /> c) Tank capacity <br /> d) Tank contents <br /> e) National Fire Protection Association(NFPA)label. <br /> Smaller chemical storage shall be labeled with contents and NFPA label. <br /> Material Safety Data Sheet:A list of all chemicals as well as their M.S.D.S will be kept on file. <br /> Waste material from the sampling and removal process will be deposited at the existing waste dump.A three(3)foot x three(3)foot <br /> containment berm has been constructed around the waste dump to control spillage of material and stormwater runoff that may occur. <br /> The waste dump will be periodically leveled to maintain a 2:1 slope,effecting the overall height only. <br /> Best Management Practices(BMPs).At this time Nuvemco is using and will continue to maintain certified weed-free straw waddles <br /> for sediment control. if additional sediment control structures would be required for this project those structures could include,but not <br /> be limited to,fabric or certified weed-free straw bale/waddles,filter fences,siltation or filter berms,and down gradient drainage <br /> channels in order to prevent unnecessary or undue degradation to the environment. <br /> During the process of sampling and removal of ore,Nuvemco will maintain the existing access road for safety purposes which will <br /> consist of smoothing of ruts and filling holes where appropriate within the existing road disturbance area.A two(2)foot x two(2)foot <br /> berm will be placed on the haulage road for the first eighty(80)feet from the portal to comply with MSHA regulations. <br /> Trash,garbage,and other solid refuse will be stored in wildlife proof containers.Trash will be collected,contained and will not <br /> be allowed to accumulate.All trash will be hauled to an authorized city or county dump or landfill. <br /> Solid Waste:A portable toilet will be on-site and will be disposed of off property. The toilets,refuse containers and dumpsters <br /> will be locked to prevent use by the public. <br /> 4 <br />
