M-2023-043
Seeley Reservoir Stockpiles
reclaimed by removing the sediment from the area, tilling, and replanting with standard
recommended seed mix or planting with a crop for the location and climate or by incorporating
the sediment into existing land, re-grading, tilling, and replanting. The combined stockpile area
is approximately 190 acres.
Processing and Proposed Facilities
Processing is not proposed for this site. There will not be any structures associated with the site.
A sediment basin for the southern parcel was engineered to prevent offsite flooding due to the
stockpile and new road. The basin will also act as a drying pit helping to divert water from the
wetter stockpile materials. The site will be restored to grade upon removal of the stockpile
materials.
Roads
Access to the facility was from AA Street west of N. 35th Ave. in Greeley, CO. A City of
Greeley right-of-way permit no. PWTC2310-0493 was issued for a road crossing and closures at
AA Street from 47th Ave. to N. 35th Ave. The road was raised at the stockpile entrances to protect
the underlying road structure. The materials used were removed upon cessation of the dredging
of Seeley Reservoir.
A new 30-foot haul road for truck traffic was made for parcel no. 080526100011 and the
disturbed acreage is incorporated into this plan. Access to the northern stockpile areas is from a
pre-existing approximate 25-foot field access road and is used for the transport of material to the
stockpile site.
The road was reopened to traffic upon completion of the dredging.
A map with dimensions of the roads is included in Exhibit C.
Phasing
This is a single-phase process including start-up and reclamation.
The dredging operation that is not associated with this permit itook 9 months and was completed
in June of 2024. The stockpile areas will be maintained and allowed to dry out. Once the
materials have thoroughly dried, the material may be disposed of or removed from the site.
Water Diversions
