Abandon <br />well. <br />6,689.6 290.0 6,399.6 <br />5.2 Surface Water and Stormwater <br />This South Quarry drainage area includes: <br />· South Quarry West Wall: Per the updated drainage report, runoff from the South Quarry <br />upper highwall and benches will be captured in a diversion channel that will direct flows <br />away from the highwall. The diversion will flow north parallel to the highwall along an <br />inactive bench at a mild slope and then travel down a steeper chute slope, referred to as the <br />diversion channel chute, to outlet to the South Quarry drainage area along the installed west <br />quarry haul road. <br />· West Quarry and West Quarry Haul Road: Runoff from the West Quarry will be conveyed <br />into the South Quarry via the West Quarry Haul Road drainage structures. Water is <br />conveyed via West Quarry Haul Road where it discharges to Outfall 003 or collects in the <br />low point of the South Quarry during high flow events. <br />· During mining, runoff that collects at the low point of the South Quarry is allowed to either <br />infiltrate or is pumped to Outfall 006 within 72 hours. <br />· Once mining and reclamation of the South Quarry are complete, the South Quarry final <br />grading will be at a 3% slope southwest to northeast to convey stormwater to Outfall 003 for <br />discharge. <br />Outfall 003 discharges to Unnamed Drainage #1 and Outfall 006 discharges to Unnamed Drainage <br />#2, both downstream of the Quarry. Both of the drainages flow into Turkey Creek, approximately 1 <br />mile downstream of the outfall locations. <br />
