NOTE: This Item only applies to the Alps Junction site reclamation. The cost for <br /> revegetation efforts under Item 3.0 must be included in the price bid for each closure. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Measurement and payment for this task will be as per revegetation specification, SWS 20, of the <br /> 2009 General Bid Specifications. Revegetated areas will be measured to the nearest tenth (0.1) <br /> acre and paid at the unit price bid on the Bid Schedule under Item 7.2. The price bid shall include <br /> all costs for labor, materials, equipment, weed-free straw mulch and all other items necessary <br /> and incidental to complete the tasks as described in Item 7.2. Payment will be made upon <br /> completion of this task and approval by the PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> Item 7.3: Debris Removal <br /> There is a variety of mining related debris including hoses, wood scraps, pallets, buckets, and <br /> other miscellaneous trash scattered around the site. These items must be collected and removed <br /> from the site and disposed of in a licensed landfill. All items for removal will be designated in the <br /> field by the PROJECT MANAGER. Up to five (5) cubic yards of debris may be removed from the <br /> project site. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> There will be no measurement for payment for this task. Payment for shall be for the lump sum <br /> bid price under Item 7.3 of the Bid Schedule. The lump sum bid shall include all costs for labor, <br /> equipment, disposal fees, and all others items necessary to complete the tasks as described in <br /> Item 7.3. Payment will be made upon completion of this task and approval from the PROJECT <br /> MANAGER. <br /> ADDITIONAL BID ITEMS <br /> An additional Bid Item is included on the Bid Schedule. This Bid Item is not guaranteed, and <br /> will be used only in the event that conditions change on site, and only after approved by the <br /> PROJECT MANAGER. The additional Bid Item for this project is: <br /> Item 8.0: Provide Additional Equipment Rental w/ Operator - Excavator <br /> If required, this item is to provide mobilization and up to an additional five (5) hours of equipment <br /> operation time with competent operator for a full-sized tracked excavator with a minimum <br /> flywheel horsepower (FHP) rating of 148 or greater (Caterpillar 320D or equivalent). <br /> "Operation" means time spent in performing work as well as time necessary for moving <br /> equipment around the work site when directed by the PROJECT MANAGER. However, <br /> "operation" does not include time spent in transporting the equipment to the initial work site, <br /> removing the equipment when all work has been completed, transporting the equipment away <br /> from and returning it to the work site in the event of a temporary or seasonal suspension of <br /> operation, maintenance of the equipment, any time during which the equipment is "bogged <br /> down" or otherwise not working, nor for any periods when operations are suspended by the <br /> PROJECT MANAGER. <br /> In order to properly evaluate bids, if the CONTRACTOR plans to furnish equipment with a greater <br /> (or lesser) FHP, please refer to Section 19.4.1 of the 2009 General Bid Specifications to calculate <br /> Rev. 07/07/2023 <br /> Page 19 of 20 <br />
