O. HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS: <br /> - Inhalation hazards shall be minimized at all times through engineering and <br /> administrative controls. <br /> - Welding Fumes. <br /> - Other health hazards - Plan for protecting and informing employees in the use of <br /> polyurethane foam. <br /> P. ENVIRONMENTAL - LIQUID WASTES: <br /> - Methods approved by the State of Colorado shall be used to eliminate the <br /> possibility of water pollution caused by spills of materials and sedimentation <br /> run-off. <br /> - Methods approved by the State of Colorado shall be used to prevent spill <br /> hazards at bulk storage areas for fuels, oils, or other fluids. <br /> - All used fluids will be drained into clearly marked DOT containers. <br /> - Under no circumstances will fluids be allowed to drain on the ground. <br /> - Equipment fueling and service procedures will not be performed on topsoil. <br /> - EPA Prevention and Control Procedures are to be followed in the event of an <br /> accidental spill. <br /> - All employees shall be trained by the contractor in spill prevention, cleanup <br /> and disposal of all wastes. <br /> - All spills must be reported to proper authorities immediately. <br /> - Reportable spills will be handled by the CONTRACTOR in accordance with <br /> the State of Colorado and EPA regulations. <br /> Q. ENVIRONMENTAL - SOLID, NON-HAZARDOUS WASTES: <br /> - All disposal activities must comply with federal and state regulations. <br /> R. ENVIRONMENTAL: <br /> - Disposal of hazardous waste is the responsibility of the contractor. <br /> - Contractor generated wastes such as equipment/machine oils, fuels, oily debris, <br /> residue paints, solvents, and containers containing the same shall be cleaned and <br /> disposed of in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations. <br /> - All drums will be stored in an upright position, on pallets or similar device to <br /> facilitate observation for leaks, corrosion or damage. <br /> - All products used on the jobsite must be approved by the supervisor prior to their <br /> use and an MSDS kept at the site. <br /> S. FIRE PROTECTION: <br /> - Specific procedures must be developed by the contractor to ensure that fire <br /> hazards area addressed and controlled. <br /> - Use, storage, and segregation of flammable and combustible materials must be in <br /> accordance with MFPA regulations. <br /> - Contractor will immediately notify proper authorities of any fire emergency. <br />
