- for evacuations, assemble at the construction trailer or designated location <br /> 15 <br /> When reporting an emergency, provide the following information: <br /> Name and location of person reporting. <br /> Location of accident/incident. <br /> Name and affiliation of injured party. <br /> Description of injuries, fire, spill, or explosion. <br /> Status of medical aid and/or other emergency control efforts. <br /> Details of chemicals involved. <br /> Summary of accident, including suspected cause and time it occurred. <br /> Temporary control measures taken to minimize further risk. <br /> Once emergency response agencies have been notified, the DRMS representative and <br /> others will be notified <br /> Medical Emergencies <br /> Personnel will be alert for signs and symptoms of illnesses related to chemical, physical, <br /> and disease factors on-site. Severe injuries resulting from accidents and chemical <br /> overexposure must be recognized as emergencies and treated as such. At least two <br /> personnel trained in first aid and CPR will be present on-site. If a medical emergency <br /> occurs, <br /> • the Operations manager or SSO will announce the emergency, upon which work must <br /> stop <br /> • immediately call Emergency Dispatch at 911 from the cellular phone, or nearest phone <br /> available <br /> • Personnel with current first aid training must evaluate the injury or illness and <br /> determine its severity. <br /> • First aid will be performed to limit further injury or stabilize the victim. <br /> • Personnel are not to move or transport victims unless doing so does not pose an <br /> immediate threat to their life, or if timely response of emergency medical services is <br /> impossible due to the remoteness of the site. <br /> Fire/Explosion Emergencies <br /> Fire and explosion will immediately be considered as an emergency. In case of a fire, <br /> personnel will attempt to use fire extinguishers, and the Fire Department will be notified <br /> as soon as possible by dialing 911 from a cellular phone or nearest phone available. Only <br /> persons trained in fire suppression/fire control will attempt to handle large fires, and the <br /> necessary steps will be taken to prevent or limit injury. <br /> The DRMS Project Manager will be notified as soon as possible and will specify proper <br /> clean-up activities. Personnel must remain outside of the incident area until the area is <br /> BEC Mine Closure Project August 8, 2022 <br />
