3 <br /> Stop Work, if necessary, in the event of an emergency or to correct unsafe work <br /> practices <br /> McCollum's Excavating Site Safety Officer(SSO) <br /> Ensures equipment is used properly by project personnel and is checked and <br /> utilized in accordance to the Operating Procedures and the manufacturer's <br /> Instructions. <br /> Maintains training certificates at the site for possible agency review. <br /> Assumes any other duties as directed by the PM. <br /> Conducts daily safety briefings <br /> Provides ongoing review of the protection level needs as project work is <br /> performed, and informs the PM of the need to upgrade/downgrade protection <br /> levels as appropriate. <br /> Stops Work, if necessary, in the event of an emergency or to correct unsafe work <br /> practices. <br /> Ensure that the proper personal protective equipment is worn by site personnel. <br /> Serves as the Project Local Emergency Coordinator(LEC). <br /> Project Personnel are responsible for: <br /> Taking all reasonable precautions to prevent injury to themselves and to their <br /> fellow employees. Including the authority to order "stop work" and to notify <br /> supervisors when conditions or operations appear to present imminent hazards. <br /> Performing only those tasks they believe they can do safety, and immediately <br /> reporting any accidents and/or unsafe conditions to the safety personnel, <br /> operational supervisor or PM. <br /> Implementing the procedures set forth in this SHEAP, and reporting any <br /> deviations from these procedures to safety personnel, operational supervisor or <br /> PM. <br /> Attending all required site safety briefings, participating in work planning <br /> discussions, and adhering to the procedures specified in the site safety briefing. <br /> BEC Mine Closure Project August 8, 2022 <br />
