2 <br /> Project Safety and Health Officer, has primary responsibility to: <br /> See that appropriate personal protective equipment is available and properly <br /> utilized by all onsite personnel; <br /> Document that site personnel are aware of the provisions of this plan, are <br /> instructed in the work practices necessary to ensure safety, and are familiar with <br /> planned procedures for dealing with emergencies; <br /> Document that all onsite personnel who will be working in areas that are known <br /> to contain or are suspected of containing contaminated material are qualified; <br /> Ensure that site personnel are aware of the potential hazards associated with site <br /> operations; <br /> Monitor the safety performance of all site personnel to see that the required work <br /> practices are employed; <br /> Correct any work practices or conditions that may result in injury or unnecessary <br /> exposure to hazardous environments; <br /> Stop Work, if necessary, in the event of an emergency or to correct unsafe work <br /> practices; <br /> In conjunction with DRMS management, review and approve changes to this <br /> project SHEAP; <br /> Notify the DRMS Representative in the event of any non-conformance with <br /> requirements. <br /> McCollum's Excavating Project Health and Safety Officer <br /> Implement this project SHEAP and report any deviations from the anticipated <br /> conditions described in these documents to the PM. <br /> Ensure that a copy of this SHEAP is located onsite at all times. <br /> Evaluate the need for increases in personal protective equipment or <br /> modified work procedures if needed. <br /> Report unusual observations. <br /> Correct any work practices or conditions that may result in injury or unnecessary <br /> exposure to hazardous environments; <br /> BEC Mine Closure Project August 8, 2022 <br />
