River Level Closure: The river level adit is currently closed with a modified octagonal frame, <br /> with two (2) center opening grated doors, two lock boxes with padlocks. Existing frame and <br /> structure do not allow unauthorized access and will be left in place. <br /> Existing octagonal doors will be modified with bar stock crossbar alternative bat closure from <br /> IMRP General Bid Specifications 2009, Section thirteen, Standard Drawing six by removing the <br /> steel grating, using two 2" pipe stock modified bat openings will be installed within existing <br /> frame with improved DRMS safety specifications. Vertical spacers will be installed on the <br /> bottom thirty six inches (36") of the closure not allowing for any opening lower than thirty six <br /> inches (36") to exceed six by twelve inches (6" X 12"). Existing locks will be removed by <br /> contractor but lock boxes will be left in place and DRMS supplied locks installed upon <br /> completion. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> There will be no measurement for payment for this task. Payment shall be for the lump sum bid <br /> price under Item 3.0 of the Bid Schedule and will be made at the completion of the task and <br /> upon approval by the PROJECT MANAGER. The price bid shall include all equipment, <br /> materials, labor, and all other items necessary and incidental to complete the tasks described in <br /> Item 3.0. <br /> ITEM 4.0 CONSTRUCT DEBRIS CONSOLIDATION PAD <br /> The goal of this task is to create a staging area for debris, personal equipment and tools located <br /> within the permit boundary. The pad will be located northeast of the structure located at the <br /> River Level entry area, and slightly up gradient. PROJECT MANAGER will flag the location in <br /> the field. The area will measure approximately seventy feet by seventy feet (70'x70') with a two <br /> foot (2') erosion control and safety berm around the perimeter with an access point on the <br /> northwestern side providing access to the road. The berm will be two feet tall (2') as measured <br /> from the adjacent ground with a maximum allowable slope of the sides being 21-1: 1V with a <br /> width of two feet (2') at the base. A small compacted dirt hump no taller than eight inches (8") <br /> tall will be constructed across the access point to prevent any substance from flowing onto or off <br /> of the pad. Materials for this task will be harvested on site. No importing fill dirt or top soil is <br /> permitted. <br /> Measure and Payment <br /> There will be no measurement for payment for this task. Payment shall be for the lump sum bid <br /> price under Item 4.0 of the Bid Schedule and will be made at the completion of the Task and <br /> upon approval by the PROJECT MANAGER. The price bid shall include all equipment, <br /> materials, labor, and all other items necessary and incidental to complete the tasks describes in <br /> Item 4.0. <br /> 10 <br />
