November 9, 2023 C-1981-019/Colowyo Coal Mine ZTT

Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2

notably within Reach 1 in incremental lengths as well as along the inlets of the stock ponds, EP1 and EP2. The
entire ditch has been re-established and armored with rip rap as well. EP1 and EP2 have been repaired with
sediment removed and the trickle tube has been installed within EP2. EP3 has been constructed as well. EP3 is
located between the FEPD and the NTEPD just adjacent to EP1. EP3 is to act as additional storage from EP1
which will ultimately direct surface flow into NTEPD. The Section 15 Ditch is currently being constructed and no
issues were observed.

Ponds associated with the East Pit are Streeter Pond, Prospect Pond, and the Section 15 Pond. The Streeter Pond
receives runoff associated with the Streeter Ditch. The pond held water but was not discharging at the time of the
inspection. The embankment was stable and well vegetated. The Prospect Pond receives runoff from the FEPD,
NTEPD and Prospect Ditches. The Prospect Pond held minimal water and was not discharging at the time of the
inspection. Both the Streeter and Prospect Ponds have been recently cleaned. Construction of the Section 15 Pond
was occurring during the inspection. The pond was nearing completion based on discussions with the Operator.
Gabion wire was observed to have been keyed in to where the inlet of the pond will be. Rip rap was actively being
staged for placement for the Section 15 Ditch near the pond at the time of the inspection.

EP2 maintenance. EP3 construction.
