MINING PLAN EXHIBIT D
1.General Mining Plan
All mining has been completed in the western portion of this pit. There remains 5.64 acres
unmined in the eastern side of the pit. The eastern most 1.84 acres of that 5.64 acres will not
be mined. It is currently used as the topsoil stockpile area and will be graded to its pre-permit
level when the topsoil stockpile is removed. These areas are shown on Exhibit C.
Mining of the remaining 3.80 acres will begin in the north end and proceed east to the west
boundary of the topsoil stockpile area, then south till all minable gravel in that 3.80 acres is
mined. The 4—8 inches of topsoil will be stripped and moved to the stockpile area or placed
directly on the 3H:1V slopes created along the north and east boundaries of the excavated area.
Approximately 1 foot of overburden will be excavated along with approximately 12 feet of
gravel and hauled to the directly to the crusher or stockpiled on the pit floor with a frontend
loader. Other equipment used on site may include dozers, excavators and gravel trucks. The
overburden will be incorporated in finished gravel products. There is expected to be about
3,000 cubic yards of topsoil and 75,000 to 80,000 cubic yards of gravel. Product will be crushed
and stored in pit areas previously mined. All final slopes around the outer perimeter of the
mined area will be mined 3H:1V to reduce the amount of reclamation required after mining.
Highway trucks will haul sellable material to market from the processing site. Truck traffic will
use Sundown Road.
2.Mining Timetable
With 75,000 cubic yards of gravel is approximately 110,000 tons of product. Gray Rock
anticipates 15,000 to 20.000 tons in sales at this time. This makes the remaining life of this
mine 5 to 7 years.
3.Mine Facilities and Operation
No change from the previously approved mining plan.
Moonscape Pit, November 2023 D 1
