INTRODUCTION <br /> The Moonscape Pit lies 4 miles west of Delta in Delta County, Colorado. The site is owned and <br /> operated by Gray Rock Aggregate Company LLC. The residence adjacent to the Permit boundary <br /> is owned by Chauncy Luttrell who also owns Gray Rock Aggregate Company LLC. The site has <br /> been mined since 1997. <br /> The site is an alluvial terrace that slopes gently toward the northwest. The site is permitted for <br /> 21.65 acres. All mining has been completed except the eastern 5.64 acres. The northeastern <br /> 1.84 acres of said 5.64 acres is used as the topsoil stockpile area and will not be mined. These <br /> areas are shown on Exhibit C. The deposit being mined is approximately is approximately 12 <br /> feet of gravel with 1 foot of overburden and 4—8 inches of topsoil. <br /> The permittee for the site is Gray Rock Aggregate Company LLC who is the land and primary <br /> mineral rights owner. <br /> The site will be reclaimed to a land use of general agriculture.
