No erosion or issues were observed. <br /> <br />Ponds Section 25, Section 26, Section 36, Middle and Sidehill were inspected. Section 36, Section 25 and Middle <br />Pond run in serious with each other and collect runoff from the eastern portion of disturbance from the Collom Pit. <br />Each of these ponds held water with only Section 25 observed as discharging. The Sidehill and Section 26 ponds <br />run in series with each other as well and receive runoff from the western portion of the Collom Pit. Both ponds <br />held water but the Sidehill was minimal. The slumping above Section 26 pond continues to show no signs of <br />additional movement. Discussions with the mine representative stated Section 26 Pond is scheduled for cleaning <br />maintenance which includes mitigation of the slump. All Collom Ponds were stable and no issues were observed. <br /> <br />Section 26 Pond. <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br />Reclamation parcels EP061, WP026, WP027, WP028, WP029 and WP032 were inspected for reclamation <br />success. These parcels are associated with requested SL-22 Phase II bond release application. Each parcel was <br />well vegetated with no observed erosion. For more information regarding the SL-22 bond release inspection, <br />please refer to the Division’s inspection report dated 9/15/23. <br /> <br />Reclamation parcel ST001 was inspected. ST001 is located just east of the South Taylor Pit and was reclaimed in <br />2011. The parcel has received rill and gully maintenance in 2022. The maintenance areas showed limited <br />vegetation growth however remains stable with no major signs of erosion was observed. <br /> <br />Results from previous weed spraying operations were observed throughout the site most notably along areas with <br />thistle. Discussions about observed cheatgrass mitigation was discussed in regards to areas showing success. <br />Colowyo has implemented different spraying applications which has produced noticeable results in older <br />reclamation parcels that have been previously documented with cheatgrass infestations. While cheatgrass was <br />observed during the inspection, Colowyo has stated they will continue with the current successful mitigation <br />measures to manage its presence.
