Reclamation parcel WP029. <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br />Mine identification sign is located at the security building located at the mine entrance. Additional signs were <br />observed along the permit boundary and Highway 13 corridor. <br /> <br />TOPSOIL – Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br />Topsoil stripping activities and associated approved disturbance boundaries were inspected along the Collom Pit. <br />Stripping activities were occurring and have previously occurred along the western slope of the Little Collom <br />Gulch as well as directly south of the Collom Pit. All stripping occurred is for the advancement of highwall mining <br />activity as well as future dragline operations as mining within the Collom Pit advances to the south. Topsoil Pile <br />2A was being constructed at the time of the inspection. Topsoil was being transported by trucks and being end <br />dumped along the southern end of the topsoil pile footprint. The disturbance boundary was tracked by GPS and <br />compared to the most recently approved Map 13C-1 Sheet 1 - Cumulative Bond Areas. All associated disturbance <br />to stripping operations at the Collom Pit were within the approved boundary. Additional topsoil placement was <br />also observed at the Collom topsoil pile 26A as well.
