The pond was muddy at the bottom. There was no
indications of erosional features on the embankment. The trash rack on the outlet was clear of debris. The pond's
embankment was stable with vegetative cover.
Two ponds are located at the northern base of the RP-2/3/4 refuse pile. The RP-2/3 pond is located at the
northeast corner of the base of the pile. The pond consists of three cells. The west and main cells were muddy.
The east cell was holding a small amount of water in it. There was no discharge from the east cell into the main
cell. The embankments for the RP-2/3 pond were observed to be stable with vegetative cover. There were no
erosional features identified. The RP-4 pond is located at the northwestern base of the pile. The pond was muddy
and damp during the inspection. The trash rack on the spillway was clear of debris. The pond's embankment was
vegetated and stable. There were no erosional features seen.
The RP-5 pond is located to the north of the base of the RP-5a refuse pile (Photo 4). The RP-2/3/4(Photo 5),RP-5a(Photo 6)
and RP-A piles. The RP-2/3/4 and RP-5a piles are located to the east of the intersection of the haul road and the
conveyor corridor. The RP-2/3/4 pile had refuse material spread out on top of the pile. The slopes were stable
with minor amounts of localized erosion. The erosion is in the form of rills. The rills are not large enough to
affect the stability of the pile. The rills are included on a maintenance list to be completed this fall. Any material
removed by the rills is transported in the RP-2/3/4 pile's ditches and end up settling out in the RP-2/3/4 and RP-4
ponds. Pond cleanings are placed back on the refuse piles. No off site impacts have occurred. Refuse material on
the RP-5a pile has been spread out on top of the pile. The slopes of the pile are similar to those on RP-2/3/4.
