Steel Pipe Railitgs <br />Fabricate pipe railings to dimensions and details shown, with smooth bends <br />and welded joints ground and dressed smooth and flush. Where details are: <br />not shown, use 1-1/2 inch o.d. standard weight steel pipe with top of top rats. <br />42" above floor, or 34" above stair treads measured vertically at the stair <br />riser line. Exterior railings shall be galvanized. Adjust railings prior to <br />anchoring to ensure matching alignment at butting joints. Space posts not: <br />more than 5' on centers, unless otherwise shown. <br />(1) Anchor posts in concrete by means of pipe sleeves set and anchored <br />into concrete. Provide sleeves of galvanized, standard weight steel. <br />pipe, not less than 8" long, and having inside diameter not less than <br />1/2" greater than outside diameter of inserted pipe post. Provide: <br />steel plate closure secured to bottom of sleeve and of width and <br />length not less than 1" greater than outside diameter of sleeve.
