• Plastic falter fabrics shall be manufactured especially for erosion control
applications and shall be a woven or non-woven fabric consisting of long
chain polymeric filaments or yarns such as nylon/polypropylene,
polyethylene, polyester, polyamide or polyrynlidene-chloride formed into a
stable network such that the filaments or yarns retain their relative
positions to each other. Plastic filter fabrics shall be 100% insect, rodent,
mildew, and rot resistant for all applications. The cloth fabric shall be free
of defects or flaws which significantly affect its physical and/or faltering
properties.
Filter fabric shall be fabricated in widths of six (6') feet minimum and shall
be furnished in rolls. During shipment and storage, the rolls shall be
wrapped in burlap, shaded from the direct sunlight and shall not be exposed
to extreme heat or cold.

U
The sheets shall be sewn together with thread either at point of manufacture
or at the job site, at the Contractor's option, to form sections of the
required size. All edges of the fabric shall be selvedge to prevent raveling.
Non-woven falter fabrics meeting the following requirements wIll also be
accepted:
The plastic falter fabric shall meet the following physical requirements for
its intended use as set forth below:
Fabric Property
Resistance to Installation
Stresses:
a.
