,c SECTION 15105 - SLIDE G ATES AND FLAP GATES • <br />I PART1-GENERAL <br />(" 1.01 Description <br />I <br />Included in this section are the slide gates, flap gates and appurtenances. <br />r 1.02 Quality Assurance <br />The completely assembled slide gate, in vertical position, w>Zl be shop inspected for <br />(" proper seating. Seat facing for slide gates shall be machined and wedges adjusted <br />l to exclude a 0.004" thickness gauge between the frame and seating surfaces. The <br />gate slide shall be fully opened and closed in its guide system to insure that it <br />(' operates freely. Floor stands shall be shop operated to insure proper assembly and <br />operation. <br />1.03 Submittals <br />A. Shop Drawings . <br />C _ Submit shop drawings to the Engineer and Contractor showing principal <br />dimensions, general construciton, materials, weights, construction details, <br />certified head ratings, catalog data and descriptive literature to permit full <br />evaluation of the materials and equipment. <br />B. Test Reports <br />Submit certified copies of reports describing the procedure and results of <br />various tests completed. <br />C. Certificate of Compliance <br />Where various specifications are cited, such as AWWA or ASTM, submit <br />signed certificates of compliance from the manufacturer stating the equip- <br />ment meets those specifications. <br />1.04 Product Delivery, Storage and Handling <br />A. Delivery <br />All materials delivered to the site shall be inspected immediately to insure <br />that no damage has occurred during transit. <br />B. Storage of Products <br />The Contractor shall protect all products <br />temporary openings to prevent entrance <br />L.
