• The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to <br />construct each service bridge complete and in place as indicated on the drawings. <br />This work shall include but not be limited to excavation, concrete, reinforcing <br />steel, anchor bolts, shims, anchor plates, nuts, washers, metal joist hangers, <br />i carriage bolts, lag screws, nails and all other items and work required to assemble <br />and erect each service bridge, complete in place, as indicated in these <br />Specifications end on the drawings. <br />3.02 Carpentry <br />Carpentry includes the furnishing of all labor and materials necessary for the <br />erection and completion of carpentry items es indicated on the drawings and in <br />these Specifications. <br />(' A. Provide and install galvanized fasteners as necessary for construction. <br />1. All bolts, na>ls, lag screws, washers and plates shall be galvanized. <br />2. Round head bolts shall be used for all ballustrade connections. <br />C B. All timber shall be erected level, plumb and true. <br />C. All adjacent wood surfaces shall be glued (3M construction adhesive or <br />better) in addition to Walling; blind na>Z wherever possible. Avoid hammer <br />r,• marks. <br />;= D. Threaded end of carriage bolts shall be cut off flush with tightened nut, tack <br />C welded and ground smooth (so that welds have a uniform surface). <br />E. All exposed wood surfaces, except deck planking, shall be sanded and f~11ed <br />before staining to remove splinters, rough spots, and irregularities. Edges <br />L and corners shall be sanded to remove sharpness. <br />3.03 Staining <br />L. A. Materials for staining shall be delivered in unbroken packages bearing the <br />brand and name of manufacturer and shall be subjected to inspection and <br />I- approval. <br />B.
