14 June 2022 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR <br /> Overburden was being loaded and hauled. Water was flowing down the south west wall of the N Pit to <br /> the pit floor from springs above. This water is being pumped to Ash Pit Pond. <br /> Stripping was taking place in West end of J pit. Topsoil laydown was occurring near haul road to <br /> minimize the footprint. Stripping will be proposed southwest,toward the red silos <br /> SIGNS and MARKERS—Rule 4.02 <br /> o Topsoil stockpiles observed were clearly marked with identifying signs. <br /> o The mine site identification signs observed at the main mine access point,(entrance from State <br /> Highway 13),was intact, displaying all required information: mine name,operator name, <br /> address,phone number,DRMS permit number and contact information. <br /> o Blasting notification signs were placed at the entrance to the site. <br /> o Pond identification signs were prominently displayed in the vicinity of the ponds visited and were <br /> in adequate repair at the time of inspection. <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.03.1(3)14.03.2(3);Drainage 4.03.1(4)14.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5) <br /> and(6)14.03.2(5)and(6);Reclamation 4.03.1(7)14.03.2(7) <br /> o Main haul roads were in good repair and well maintained at the time of inspection,as were roads <br /> in L and N Pits. <br /> o Access roads were accessible throughout the site. <br /> o Ditches appeared to be functioning adequately. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES—Rule 4.04 <br /> o The Ash Pit exhibited a firm surface throughout. No issues were observed requiring attention at <br /> the time of inspection. <br /> o Ash Pit along the eastern side is getting close to surface and ready to be capped and topsoiled. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE—Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6;Discharge Structures 4.05.7, <br /> 4.05.10;Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage-Acid <br /> and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18 <br /> Unless otherwise noted, pond banks and dams appeared stable at the time of inspection. Spillways were <br /> functioning adequately at the time of inspection. The following pond systems were visited: <br /> a) Impoundment H was holding a small amount of water. <br /> b) No Name Pond 92 had drained most of its water and is scheduled for a redesign of the <br /> spillway in TR13. A ditch will build ditch around to east of the pond to catch watershed <br /> runoff and convey to lower No Name system so that the pond can be dredged. <br /> c) East Middle Flume 91 held water and was not discharging at the time of inspection. <br /> d) Middle Flume 93 was holding water and not discharging at the time of inspection. <br /> e) East Pyeatt system held water at the time of inspection and was not discharging. <br /> f) Deal 91 holding turbid water. <br /> g) East Flume was dry at the time of inspection. <br /> h) East Middle Flume 1 holding water and not discharging at the time of inspection. <br /> i) Middle Flume 3.Holding water and not discharging. <br /> j) Check dams and sumps doing their jobs <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 8 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4 <br /> Page 3 of 13 <br />
