The 3.8 c.f.s was originally decreed June 19, <br /> 1890, for irrigation purposes. The transfer decree entered <br /> August 30, 1955, did not change these purposes. St. Charles <br /> Mesa Water Association has entered into a contract with <br /> Applicants to purchase their water. The water to be taken <br /> from the alternate points of diversion is to be used for all <br /> municipal purposes, including domestic, irrigation, mechanical, <br /> fire portection, sanitary, recreation, manufacturing and all <br /> other municipal uses in the service area of St. Charles Mesa <br /> Water Association as it may, from time to time, be constituted. <br /> 9. Applicants have used their water rights to irrigate <br /> their land, which is the N1/2 of Sec. 20, T. 14 S., R. 78 W. <br /> of the 6th P.M. Termination of this use is necessary if <br /> water is to be used for municipal purposes from the new <br /> points of diversion. <br /> 10. Cottonwood Creek is a major tributary to the <br /> Arkansas River. Applicants' headgate is upstream from the <br /> -3- <br />
