Statements of Opposition were filed by the Town of <br /> Buena Vista, CF&I Steel Corporation, Pueblo Board of Water <br /> Works, Catlin Canal Company, The Rocky Ford Ditch Company, <br /> American Crystal Sugar Company and The Amity Mutual Irrigation <br /> Company. The time for filing Statements of Opposition by <br /> others has expired, and no others have entered appearances <br /> in these proceedings. All Objectors are the owners of <br /> decreed water rights from the Arkansas River and its tributaries. <br /> 4. The decreed point of diversion for The Cottonwood <br /> Irrigating Ditch was located in the SW1/4 of the NE1/4 <br /> Of Section 13, Township 14 South, Range 79 West of the 6th <br /> P.M., Chaffee County, Colorado. <br /> 6. In Civil Action No. 4396 the District Court of <br /> Chaffee County, Colorado, by decree dated August 30, 1955, <br /> changed the point of diversion of the water rights owned by <br /> Applicants described above to a point on the southeasterly <br /> bank of Cottonwood Creek in the W1/2 of S1/2 of Section 13, <br /> Township 14 South, Range 79 West of the 6th P.M. from whence <br /> the Northwest corner of the said Section 13 bears North 52033' <br /> West a distance of 4425 feet and decreed that the 3.8 c.f.s. <br /> owned by Applicants might thereafter be diverted at the new <br /> point of diversion. <br /> 7. Applicants propose to acquire alternate points of <br /> diversion for said 3.8 c.f.s. which are located as follows: <br /> -2- <br />
